Child Protection update

TOMORROW unions and CYS representatives meet in Ross to workshop a model for the Child Protection Caseload Management Tool.

Initially Case Management will be the first section of Child Protection where a model is developed, with the intention to then develop a tool for Intake, Response and Out-of-Home Care.
CPSU and HACSU representatives from each region are attending the workshop along with CYS nominated representatives.

It’s hoped by the end of tomorrow a draft model for Case Management will be developed, and then circulated to Members for feedback soon after. CPSU General Secretary Tom Lynch and Area Director North Mike Willie have briefed the working group’s facilitator to ensure that tomorrow results in the best outcome possible.

The CPSU’s Emma Gill will also be attending tomorrow, and looks forward to working with the group and presenting Members with a draft model in due course.
