Child Safety Officer promise from Labor
Child Safety Officers protect Tasmanian children and support families but there aren’t enough of them.
If elected, Labor has promised to employ an additional 20 Child Safety Officers.
In December last year 494 children did not have a dedicated Child Safety Officer, due to understaffing.
Currently the Liberals haven’t promised any additional positions in their election promises and the Greens have promised to employ 50 additional Child Safety Officers, if the party had a say in the next government.
