Water corporations failure on ‘cookie cutter’ policy
TASMANIA’S three water corporations are trying to slide an alcohol and other drugs policy into their workplaces with little consultation from Members. The policy opens the door for alcohol and drug testing of Cradle Mountain Water, Ben Lomond Water and Southern Water Employees. Unlike other water boards, whose policies are based on employees presenting for work and working unimpaired by alcohol and other drugs, the water corporations’ policy is based on employees having a zero-level presence of alcohol or other drugs in their body whilst at work.
