Postcards show public not happy with Service Tas cuts
POSTCARDS are coming in for our campaign against Service Tasmania opening hours.
These cards are addressed to Premier Lara Giddings and ask her to reverse the decision to cut shop opening hours.
Comments from members of the public include:
- “The government should support regional communities with services”; and
- “How are those of us who work fulltime expected to access Service Tas with restricted hours? You should be extending them.”
The message to the government is clear: Tasmanians don’t want or deserve a reduction in services at these shops. Cuts will make it harder for you to do many things such as Sit for learners or renew or apply for your Drivers Licence; Lodge rental bonds; Access Centrelink Services; Renew or transfer your registration; Lodge birth, death or marriage certificates.
Let the Premier know you’re not happy about these cuts. Keep your postcards coming in.
