THE latest ABS Labour Force report shows Tasmania lost 400 full times jobs in July.
In Tasmania in trend terms from June to July:
Number of people employed full-time dropped from 148,800 to 148,400
Total number of people employed dropped by 100 from 233,000 to 232,900
Total number of people unemployed fell from 17,700 to 17,400
Unemployment rate fell from 7.1% to 6.9%
Participation rate dropped slightly from 60.3% to 60.2%
Aggregate monthly hours worked fell from 31.0 million in June to 30.9 million in July.
Nationally, the unemployment rate remained steady at 5.2%, with the participation rate also steady at 65.3%
