Lara: now it’s your turn
DESPITE the appalling announcement about the 14,000 public sector jobs to go in Queensland, the state’s Premier Campbell Newman has told the Queensland Parliament that no one had been forced out of work.
Today the ABC reported Mr Newman said all those affected by the cuts were being offered redeployment or voluntary redundancies.
“Despite all the hype and the hysteria, not permanent employee has been sacked as a result of the budget process,” he said.
Now it’s time for our Premier Lara Giddings to remove the threat of forced redundancies for Tasmanian Public Sector workers.
