School & College Admin Officers and Admin Clerks Professional Learning Forum

THE CPSU was happy to attend the School & College Admin Officers and Admin Clerks Professional Learning Forum at Tattersall’s Park, Glenorchy on Friday.

The day was a chance for these staff to up skill on a range of topics, such as communication skills, active listening and EduPoint, as well as networking.

CPSU Organiser Sarah spoke to the group about the different ways the CPSU helps Members, both with individual advice and support and large group workplace issues.

She also talked about the recent survey sent out to staff at schools to understand and tackle lack of school admin staff resourcing.

During lunch, attendees also had the chance to talk to Sarah and find out more about CPSU drives, such as the Purchased Leave Scheme and Union Power.

Many conference delegates took the chance to fill in a Service Tasmania campaign postcard to help lobby against shop hour cuts, and go in the draw to win movie tickets.

Village and State movie tickets and discounted Woolworths and Coles vouchers were up for sale at the trade table, with the CPSU’s Rebecca Kingston working the tills and answering questions.
