BBQ raises much needed funds
SAUSAGES sizzled for a good cause today.
A fundraising barbecue in Hobart saw $1666 raised in the wake of the recent Tasmanian bushfires.
It’s a great effort from Members and their friends and colleagues who came out enjoyed lunch and gave to the Unions’ Fire Appeal 2013.
Collection tins filled fast as CPSU staff cooked and served sausages and vegie burgers to hungry workers.
A number of businesses generously gave discounted goods for the cause, including:
- Vermey’s Quality Meats (sausages)
- Cripps Nubake (bread)
- Woolworths New Town (soft drink)
- Countrywide Foodmarket (vegie burgers)
- 911 Gasworks Bottleshop (ice)
