State Budget 2013/14
WHILE yesterday’s budget didn’t impose any new cuts on the Tasmanian Public Sector, the savings announced in 2011/12 that would apply in 2012/13 would still need to be made.
In many areas the Government is forecasting service levels to increase but this will be unsustainable given the cuts that have occurred over four years.
The Government has extended its 2% cap on wages across the forward estimates meaning they expect Public Sector workers to take real wage cuts for at least six years.
