CPSU: still working for Members

THINGS have changed for the better thanks to unions.

Before December 1967 the employment of married women was prohibited in the Tasmanian State Service.

Once a woman married she  had to stop working  for the Tasmanian public sector.

Even after this changed, if a man or unmarried woman was available to work in a position, only in special circumstances  were married women able to take the job.

Thank unions things have changed!

There’s still work to do to improve conditions, retain the ones we’ve got, so make sure you’re on board with the CPSU!
