CPSU wishes work placement student Tia McGrath all the best
THE CPSU’s enjoyed having year 11 student Tia McGrath at the CPSU Hobart office for the last eight Wednesdays. Today is Tia’s last day at the CPSU.
Tia studies Certificate 2 in Business, English Communications and Dance 3C at Rosny College. During her time with the CPSU she’s learned a lot. We spoke to Tia this morning.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here, it was a new experience.”
During her work experience Tia helped with planning and setting up for the AGM and observed how many administration processes worked and helped with the stocktake for the end of the financial year. She also helped edit her own page in the Annual Report.
Tia also spent time with both the Organising and Campaigning Team and the Member Advice and Support Team, and visited a worksite today.
She’s also looking forward to the One Direction concert in Adelaide next week.
“I’m very excited – it’s six days until I leave and seven days until the concert; not that I’m counting.”
It’s hard for young people to gain the experience they need to win jobs on merit so the CPSU is pleased to have given Tia this opportunity.
The CPSU wishes Tia all the best with her studies and looks forward to hearing about her career and her upcoming One Direction concert!
