Tatts Agreement delivers certainty and improved conditions
YESTERDAY (Thursday 10 October) CPSU Assistant Secretary Mat Johnston signed a new industrial agreement improving wages and conditions for CPSU Members employed by Tatts Group working for the Tote.
The ballot to determine worker support was resoundingly supported with all but one of the 48 returned ballot papers voting in support of the overhauled package of wages and conditions.
CPSU Members working at Tote sites are predominantly casual employees who are engaged as either Telebet Operators or On-Course and the Agreement provides for significant wage increases across all classifications and amended rostering provisions.
Now that the CPSU and Tatts representatives have signed the Agreement it will proceed to the Fair Work Commission for registration in the next few weeks.
This is a fantastic result for Members and delivers increased certainty and improved work arrangements to workers for the next three years.
Together Members and their union can achieve a lot!
