Forum: constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
A FREE public forum looking at constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is on this month.
Held in conjunction with recognise.org.au, these UTAS Forums are on in Launceston, Devonport and Hobart, and you’re more than welcome to attend.
One of Australia’s leading constitutional lawyers and public commentators George Williams AO will speak at the forum about where the move for constitutional recognition comes from and the details of what’s proposed. This speech will be followed by a panel discussion, which includes Aboriginal community members and social commentators.
