CPSU: there for you

FROM ensuring entitlements are received to helping with issues that impact on everyday working lives, each week the CPSU is there for Members.

Here are some of the ways the CPSU’s helped members recently:


*Helped a Member receive a full redundancy that was several thousand above the original figure from their department.

*After resistance from a department, a Member was finally given a phone headset, which will help with both productivity and physical strain.

*A Member felt upset after they were suddenly moved work area without an explanation, and some comments from their manager left them feeling undervalued. After the CPSU’s intervention, the manager explained why the move was needed and reaffirmed the importance of Member’s role at work. The Member now feels happy and valued.

*A Member applied for Long Service Leave to be paid five days per week while work pattern being two days per week, this was knocked back. The CPSU helped this Member receive an extra three days paid long service leave.
