CPSU Parks Members endorse industrial action to start Saturday August 23
WE’VE sought assurances that any agreement we negotiate for Parks Members would be binding and adhered to, however the government hasn’t provided us with any certainty. It’s impossible for us to continue negotiations until the government commits to fulfilling any commitments it makes in bargaining.
This morning we wrote to DPIPWE flagging the upcoming action and allowing a week for our concerns to be addressed. You can find the letter below.
We’ve also distributed a media release today, which you can read below.
So, failing any action from the government to allow us to continue negotiations, CPSU Members are instructed, in accordance with the rules of the union to institute the following action with effect from 0700 hours, Saturday 23 August 2014:
- CPSU Members working in Tasmania’s Parks and Wildlife Service are instructed not to check visitors’ parks passes from 7am Saturday 23 August 2014 until further notice.
As any dispute progresses we’ll communicate with you further, and if necessary we’ll escalate industrial actions.
If you have any problems during the dispute please speak to your local CPSU Delegate or contact the union office on 6234 1708 or via email at email@example.com.
