DoE: IT workers emergency meeting on Tuesday

IN ANOTHER breathtakingly short-sighted and counterproductive move, the Hodgman Government is slashing IT support services for schools and colleges.

By failing to consult about such radical changes, yet again the government is showing contempt for workers and proper process.

The CPSU and AEU are holding a joint Member meeting next week to discuss how we can tackle the issue and safeguard the rights of you as workers.

A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday September 23 in the Hobart AEU office and we’ll Skype people in from the Launceston and Devonport AEU offices.

Meeting details:

When & Where: Tuesday September 23 4 to 5pm, AEU Hobart office, 32 Patrick St,

Skype in: from AEU Launceston, 39 Paterson St OR the AEU Devonport, 63 Best St.

RSVP: email  k.lee@tas.cpsu.com.au  by Monday September 22 and let us know which venue you’ll attend.

Please talk to your colleagues and invite them along as well. If they’re not yet CPSU Members, they can join here.

We need as many Members to attend and skype in so we can have strength and support to confront this attack on your jobs.
