Public Sector Unions to take government to the Tasmanian Industrial Commission
NEXT week public sector unions will front the Tasmanian Industrial Commission. It comes after unions lodged an application last Friday to vary public sector Awards to defer wage increases until 1 July 2015 in exchange for guarantees that jobs will be saved.
We will argue our case before the Commission and the government can explain why it prefers cutting jobs to negotiating savings. We look forward to putting forward our case and hearing what the government has to say in response.
