Know your Rights: Jury service
THE RIGHT to a fair trial and a day in court is one of the pillars of our democracy. Key to this is the role of the jury, a cross-section of our community, so it’s important that working people aren’t discouraged from this through the loss of salary. There’s increasing concern about juries not being reflective of our society, and our rights under our agreement help to rectify this.
