Unions Tasmania power proposal

Unions held an emergency meeting on the power crisis yesterday.
Unions Tasmania has put forward a way to ease the power pressure, suggesting households receive a rebate for every kilowatt hour less they use, compared to the same billing period last year. Unions Tasmania Secretary Steve Walsh told media that “This would send a clear price signal that encourages a reduction in power use”.
It comes as an internal email showed that the CSIRO was considering purchasing diesel generators in case of power restriction.
