Labor to scrap public school fees
If elected, Labor will scrap public school fees, Opposition Leader Rebecca White said on the weekend. This would cost of about $24m per year. Opposition Leader Rebecca White said Labor would also introduce free buses for all students to their closest public school, if elected on March 3.
We know that our public schools are places where our young people can thrive, learn and develop, and should be invested in. We also know that there’s record low wage growth, so this cost-of-living measure would be welcomed by many families.
