Prison for North, Remand centre for South
If re-elected, Will Hodgman announced that he would commit to:
• A new remand facility at the Risdon Prison site, costing $70m
• $270m for a new prison in the North of Tasmania with a 270 prisoner capacity.
Meanwhile Labor has promised $40m to replace the Launceston Reception Prison.
