CPSU Delegate Profile: Leon Chick
Meet Leon, a CPSU Delegate (pictured above, centre) at Disability and Community Services.
My Job is:
Coordinator, Individual Funding Unit.
My job helps the Tasmanian community by:
Providing funding to community organisations to support people with a disability live in the general community.
I joined the union because:
I have always been in a union as I support what they have achieved.
I became a CPSU Delegate because:
Need to support other staff and keep management accountable.
My biggest passion outside work is:
Family and genealogy.
One thing I’d like to change or see happen in my community is:
That people fully understand the fundamental flaws in economic arguments.
One thing that I’ve learned is: What the union does and the campaigns it gets involved with, like what Sally McManus and the Australian Unions team are up to.
