PSUWA Wages and Conditions Agreement

The CPSU ballot for a new bargaining agreement has concluded with 93 per cent of members voting ‘Yes’ to accept the employer’s offer which includes back pay to the 1st of December 2025 and raft of new and improved conditions.

Wages

A three-year deal with structural adjustments (money into your base salary) before percentage increases are applied for year one and year two. In year three, you’ll receive your pay increase early in September.

The headline wage increases are 3% (year 1), 3% (year 2) and 2.75% (year 3) but with extra money going into most classifications in the first two years as follows:

$800 for General Stream Bands 1-5
$600 for General Stream Bands 6
$500 for General Stream Band 7 and 8

For the majority of workers this is an 11% to 12.%  increase over two and a half years, before factoring in annual salary progression.

The equivalent salary points of these structural adjustments will also flow to professional stream employees.

Here’s an example of how the wage increases apply for General Stream Bands 1-5:

  • Year 1 – $800 to base then 3%

  • Year 2 – $800 to base then 3%

  • Year 3 – 2.75% (paid early from September, which will move your pay dates in future agreements forward as well).
