Ahpra EBA Vote Now Open

Ahpra have put a workplace agreement offer to ballot without the in principle agreement of bargaining representatives. CPSU members and supporters have won improved conditions by voting no before, and together we can do it again on three key claims where the offer falls short.

Ahpra members from each State and other unions have voted to stand together for a fair outcome and vote no. Just like before, voting no will mean that Ahpra has to meet with bargaining representatives and provide a fairer offer.

The CPSU is standing for:

Equality in conditions

Ahpra’s revised offer on personal leave accrual will disadvantage new staff. Creating division in minimum employment conditions such as personal leave entitlements is not a fair way forward and the rationale for this proposal has never been fully detailed.

Valuing staff who stay

There’s still no recognition for workers at the top of their band who meet their PDP. Unions proposed that Ahpra include a 1% payment for employee at the top of their band to ensure they receive acknowledgement for their service. During the life of the Agreement a significant proportion of Ahpra staff will reach the top of their band so this will impact over 60% of staff nationally.

Keeping up with the cost of living

The salary offer remains out of touch with the increased cost of living. CPI is sitting at approximately 6% p.a. nationally and things are only getting harder. Accepting the offer is accepting a real wage cut for you and those you support. To make matters worse, the current wages offer drops to 2.5% in the last year of the Agreement

Click here to download a copy of the workplace poster or the A5 desk flyer. The flyer will help you to have conversations with those in your office yet to join the CPSU and there should also be printed copies in the Hobart office.

Voting will close on 9 September 2022 at 5pm Perth time (7pm in Tasmania). If you have any questions about the offer, please contact cpsudirect@tas.cpsu.com.au
