Workers need pay rises that keep up with living costs. They want to be paid the same as workers doing the same job in other Australian states.
Chubb profits are up, they are a billion-dollar company, so there’s means to pay. Chubb locked out Tassie workers, who wouldn’t concede on several claims.
Late last week Chubb rescinded the lockout notice but workers have said no and will now go on strike – taking action to get action on this dispute.
